Painting in the Bubble, a project in the Liquid Art series
This time I placed a soapbubble on a mirror. From a height of approximately 1.50 mtr a drop of paint fell through the soapbubble. Most of the time the soapbubble did not collapse. (I used (after testing lots) a solution of normal bubblesoap for children and mixed it with glycerin. The glycerin makes the bubble a bit stronger)
Especially the lightning caused lots of troubles. You see everything reflected in the soapbubble and/or the mirror. Even the smallest pices of dirt. After each shot the mirror had to be cleaned perfectly, which took most of the time…
I will redo this project in 2017, and hopefully with improvements I have thought about.
